About Calm Again

wHAT IS MEDITATION?

   Meditation is simply calming and clearing the mind. And we all know how draining and frustrating the relentless chattering brain can be. 

   

There are numerous ways to meditate but the easiest way to get started is by taking 5 minutes a day to learn to clear the brain. Meditation works ….it has worked for people for centuries and the benefits to your mental and physical health are undisputed.

  

   I will show you how to start calming and clearing your mind by simply applying some gentle focusing techniques. 


We can then go on to discover the many different types of meditation to continue on your meditation journey.

   


  

MEDItation group classes

There a many myths around meditation including the belief that you have to sit in the Lotus position and sit quietly for hours. This is simply not true.


My classes are intended to dispel these myths and to teach you how to enjoy the many joys and benefits (emotional and physical) that meditation brings.


The classes are in small groups at locations that are easily accessible, with parking, are warm and cosy and above all friendly and welcoming.


I provide mats (if you want to lie down) but you are equally welcome to sit on the floor or on a chair - whichever is most comfortable for you.


I play very gentle, soft background music and you will feel safe and secure.


I have no religious beliefs so my classes are suitable for all faiths.


I will be running classes throughout the year at various locations in the Colchester area.


ONE-TO-ONE TEACHING

If you do not wish (or are unable) to join a group setting, I also  offer One-to-One sessions to help you start, and continue, on your wonderful meditation journey.
